Now that HD DVD died, the home theater enthusiasts have only one choice for high-definition movie discs, Blu-ray. Blu-ray discs offer excellent picture quality, with movies encoded in 1080p. This image quality is a normal DVD player to shame. I will tell you that the best Blu-ray market is Sony's PlayStation 3 PlayStation 3 is by far the most recommended Blu-ray player available today. There are somewhat the PS3 offers, but nobody is perfect, right? Has no analog channel output or an infrared receiver. This is why you should not get a PlayStation 3 for your Blu-ray. You have to remember that this is a high-definition gaming console and media streamer. You're still a top product line with a company that you know there are products. I know that if you have a home theater hard, you insist on a standalone player. This is a fine, but everyone should take the PS3 to standalones cost much less and perform similar.
Since the PS3 is released, we saw Blu-ray players from Samsung, Panasonic, Siemens and Sony itself. And none of them on the PS3 generally perform a bit 'better, even if it cost more (twice or more in some cases) to see. Amazing HD movies on PS3, which can result in full resolution video at 1080p HDMI 1.3 port. Audio support is also topnotch: the PS3 decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks internally, use it as linear PCM, which should deliver impeccable lossless when connected surrounded by the best equipped of the HDMI AV receivers. Stick controllers can sing the lack of "bit stream" audio output or multichannel analog connectors – if it is a question for you if you are in the small minority who must choose one of those more expensive standalone Blu-ray.
PS3 is made forplayback high-definition games, movies and photos. I would describe the PS3 as an entertainment center, a little 'more than just a game. It is a system designed to sit in the heart of a digital world with an Internet connection and a Blu-ray, a large proportion of services they offer.
