If you've thought about this issue, then at least you know that there is an ongoing discussion on the level of the next generation of digital video data. If you do not have to remember here is low.
Both Toshiba and Sony digital video technology at work in early 1990. Toshiba had a fight with DVDs, as we all know and love. Sony has started working on the future of DVD technology andBlu Ray Disc. The company is also looking to the future with their response to future HD-DVD.
The technical differences between the two new standards are not so great. Blu Ray discs hold more data and more expensive due to a special procedure to create the last layer. The surface layer of HD DVD is the same as current DVD discs, 0.6mm. Blu Ray is only 0.1 mm thick and has a special super strong made to keep themscratches too easily and become unusable.
The real difference is that movie studios decide to use this technology. For example, two of the biggest movies this summer's "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Spiderman 3" was released exclusively on Blu Ray discs. Although HD-DVD a number of its own unique visions were not great successes of these two films, so Blu Ray had more sales of HD DVD.
Another battlefor HD-DVD format from Toshiba was when Blockbuster movie rental giant, decided to just Blu Ray, which means that if you want to Blockbuster to rent movies that you have a CD player, a Blu ray, of course, if you have a Blu Ray player you want to buy Blu Ray. The final blow to HD DVD has a couple of days ago, when Warner Brothers announced that it will only use the Sony Blu Ray format from now on. Many other people in the film industryfree movies in both formats are expected to decide on an exclusive format very quickly. It seems that most will choose Blu Ray.
So, whether you like it or not, is beginning to look like Blue Ray will be the next big thing. But first and buy a Blu Ray might be worth waiting to see if this prediction comes true or not. However, the battle will be well on the format established so that consumers know what the player must havebuy!
